Owners and Professional Artists 


MARKS OF THE SPARK TATTOOS  was established  in 1993 by husband and wife team, Alfie and Margie.

Alfie and Margie are both
 Award Winning Artists 
with a background that includes the
Maryland Institute College of Art.

Alfie is a full time Professional Tattoo Artist who designs and creates artistic tattoos in all styles and sizes, including 
 full back pieces, chest work, torso panels and sleevework.  He has won over twenty five awards in professional tattooing.  
Alfie has created over a hundred original sheets of designs exclusively for Marks of the Spark Tattoos-- and also sells his original artwork in other mediums at the studio. 
Besides tattooing full time, custom design work and artwork in other mediums; he also builds custom
tattoo machines for the studio.

    Margie became Frederick's first female Tattoo Artist.  She has created award winning tattoos for clients, as well as custom designs and original sheets of designs for the studio. Margie manages the studio and is currently taking a break from tattooing and is working on artwork in other mediums.  She is an Associate Member of the National  Watercolor Society.

Marks of the Spark Tattoos is
 currently the longest running Tattoo Studio
 in Frederick, Maryland.
